Welcome
The Orange County Natural History Museum is dedicated to displaying many of the features of Orange County’s past as well
as present. As Orange County rapidly develops through construction, its past is uncovered and brought to light. Both paleontological and archeological artifacts have been unearthed. Several historic and prehistoric artifacts as well as native
animals found in the area are currently on display.
Recently we acquired a large building in Santa Ana that is
currently being renovated to become a large museum serving all county residents. This museum will offer many exhibits and displays of natural resources indigenous to Orange County and include classrooms to continue our educational goals. Watch
this website public announcements for its opening.
Along with a wide variety of exhibits, we will be offering
educational programs so that school children can learn to appreciate the sciences. Partnered with the Orange County
Board of Education, we strive to enhance the curriculum taught
in schools by offering various programs designed to keep the
child interested in learning about the ecosystem around their community.
Our esteemed board of directors comes from various fields including archaeology, geology, botany, paleontology, Native American leadership, attorneys as well as business people
from the community. All of these people are educators and are dedicated to the growth of this museum.
The Orange County Natural History Museum is a 501(c)3
non-profit organization obtaining funds through donations, grants and membership.
